Metropolitan Technical Career Institute Pharmacy Technician Program

MTCI offers a Pharmacy Technician program that will prepare students to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination and upon successful passing of examination students can register with the Florida Department of Health.

Pharmacy Technicians assist licensed Pharmacists, provide medication and other health products to patients and customers. Pharmacy Technicians typically perform routine tasks to help prepare prescribed medications, such as counting pills and labeling bottles.
Administrative job duties may include answering telephones, stocking shelves, and operating cash registers.

At MTCI we will provide each Pharmacy Technician program student an education that exceeds the State of Florida minimal requirements.
